Owner rule (2026-06-29): **"ensure at the end of everything, you delete leftover files every time."**
At the END of every task (mine or a delegated build/audit session's), sweep the project directory `C:\Dev\!RobCo\!RobCo-UOS` for leftover/junk and remove it: stray scratch files, temp / `.bak` / `.old` / `.log` / `.zip`, empty tool dirs (e.g. `.yoke/`), duplicate copies, one-off artifacts left behind by prior tasks.
**Never delete:** git-tracked files, or the gitignored PLANNING DOCS (now under `planning/` — MASTER_PLAN.md, the *_AUDIT.md, *_SLATE.md, *_DESIGN.md, HOUSE_STANDARD.md, etc. — the live build queue). See [[robco-uos-project]].
**Why:** the owner doesn't want old-task cruft accumulating in the working folder; they keep a clean directory.
**How to apply:** codified as a cleanup protocol in `CLAUDE.md` + `rules/` (sweep + remove junk at end of each task, report what was removed, optional gate guard that FLAGS known-junk patterns but does NOT auto-delete). Always [[always-acknowledge-actions|report]] what was removed. Deletion is irreversible, so scope strictly to genuine junk; if anything is ambiguous, surface it to the owner first rather than deleting.
